Falcon Fires & Flues fit stoves, sweep chimneys, inspect and repair flues and build twin-wall systems across Wigan and St Helens.
Most firms either fit stoves or sweep them. We do both, and it makes a difference: we spot the liner that was never sized right, and we know what a flue looks like three winters after we left it.
That is why the photographs on this site show both ends of the same jobs — the opening before we start and the stove lit when we are done. Anyone can photograph a finished fireplace.
HETAS registered, not just trained
We are HETAS registered. Those two phrases sound alike and mean different things, and the difference decides who signs your installation off.
- HETAS registered — what we hold
- A registration that lets us self-certify the installation against Building Regulations and issue the compliance certificate directly. No waiting on Building Control, and the certificate is the document you will want when you come to sell the house or claim on the insurance.
- HETAS trained — what it is not
- Having completed the training without being on the register. Those installations have to be notified to your local authority Building Control, who issue the certificate. It is a legitimate route, but it is a different one.
Plenty of sites blur those two words together. HETAS keep a public register, so it is worth asking any installer you speak to which one they hold — and checking.
